Margrave Hagan is about to name a Warden for the Handelburg area.
Almost all the residents of Handelburg have joined the militia.
The Mages Guild has moved into Messena. They are staying in the Knot Inn in Port Aldwin. They have confiscated all the potion and scroll labs in the whol colony, including those owned by the Merchants Guild.
The necklace has been recovered and destroyed. All the werespiders are dead.
A ship flying a red flag with a black bend sinister, 5 links of chain alternating silver and gold within the bend, has docked recently in Port Aldwin. The crew has rented an entire warehouse on the dock and is keeping the structure Wizard Locked.
Margrave Hagan took a trip recently to the Midlands to meet with the new Governor there, Baron D'arluke.
Baron Aldwin is expected to arrive on the Blackship when it comes to Port Aldwin to collect the taxes.
A group from the Imperial Mages Guild has been seen in Port Aldwin asking the whereabouts of Margrave Hagan.
A group of Pyresti merchants have moved into Port Aldwin and opened up a shipping company, Firebrand Shipping, in competition with the Baron's fleet. The dwarves are refusing to use their services, as the Baron's fleet has served them well over the last year, not to mention the fact that the Baron built the trade route. Firebrand Shipping has filed an official complaint with the Monarch of Pyrestan about discrimination against their services as well as unfair trade practices by Baron Aldwin.
Chaser just got promoted to Layman in the Merchants Guild.
A group called "The sub-humans" has moved into Handelburg. They are mostly Orge Kin and Orc Kin. They are smelly and filthy, so Hagan is making them live outside the town.
Werespiders have been sighted again in the forest near Handelburg.
Lots of small, hostile changelings have been attacking folks around Handelburg. They are not part of the Dominion.
Margrave Hagan is still trying to collect the items needed to destroy the necklace that was stolen.
There is a Wind Champion living near Handelburg.
The Mendicants are alive and well, and growing in membership.
Margrave Hagan won the scroll lab and the alchemy lab in Handelburg on a bet. (Which doesn't quite top that one time when he was walking past a craps game in Haven, tossed a 100 gold bar onto the board, won even money on that roll, picked up his winnings and kept on walking. But it comes pretty close!)
The Entertainers Guild runs a roulette game every Saturday night in Handelburg.
Clement the Mendicant has returned to Handelburg. He arrived in the company of Serene White Feather and was under her protection for a while. She found him in the swamp tied to a large wagon wheel that was hanging from a tree.
The necklace of the werespider queen has been stolen by the Dominion.
No werespiders have been sighted since the werespider queen was killed. She was turned into a werespider by a cursed necklace that the folks in Handelburg are trying to destroy.
There is a huge stash of buried treasure somewhere around Handelburg.
Clement the Mendicant has become a hermit.
The natives throw really great parties with lots of food, gifts, games and prizes.
Lots of changelings have been spotted in the Handelburg area lately.
The charter of the Mendicants has been revoked by the Margrave.
The Imperial Entertainers Guild has opened gambling operations in Handelburg and Port Aldwin.
A few brave and hardy farmers and ranchers are attempting to establish farms and ranches around Handelburg.
The were-spiders are all dead, including their queen.
An alchemy lab has been installed in Handelberg.
A scroll making lab has been installed in Handelburg.
No one in Handelburg knows how to resurrect people.
There is now a Heartstone in Port Aldwin.
A forge has been installed in Port Aldwin. Some of the parts used to belong to a crazy dwarf who thinks he is the king of the kobolds.
There used to be a giant that lived in the pass and had only one eye and walked with a limp. He was killed by some adventurers.
The Mendicants are good cooks who feed anybody that needs food for free. They are located in Handelburg.
Hagan has a mystical ability to harness the power of the winds.
The Colonial Militia is recruiting. The pay is good and they also provide steady meals, lodging, uniforms, and other gear. Plus they’ll teach ya how to fight better.
There is a civil war among the lizardmen in the swamp.
The local natives don’t believe that people can be resurrected.
Ghostly white creatures live in the swamp. They will eat you if you are in the swamp after dark.
There is a talking tree near the edge of the swamp.
Dame Karelia’s last squire was:
- Killed by her for talking bad about the Empire.
- Killed by her for disobeying an order.
- Sent back to Koth because he drank too much.
- Killed in a battle with some giant spiders that could fly and had spikes on their bellies.
- Killed in a duel with Hagan.
- Disappeared one night while on duty at Fort Sanctuary. All they ever found of him was his left boot.
- Disappeared one day while on patrol near Fort Skittish. The only trace of him that was found was the scarf of his betrothed, which he always wore next to his heart.
- Resigned and went back to Koth ‘cause he was homesick.
There are giant, man-eating plants in the swamp.
The natives are very protective of their hunting grounds.
The Baron has a big nose.
The local natives like unpolished gems, shells, feathers, other trinkets, and anything made out of metal. They hunt a lot and usually have furs to trade.
Several people are missing from various local native tribes. No trace of them has been found.
Members of the Coyote Tribe like to play games.
No one has ever stayed in the swamp overnight and lived to tell the tale.
The fort in the swamp that is nearest to Port Aldwin has been named Fort Skittish. The fort on the far side of the swamp has been named Fort Sanctuary.
Dame Karelia does not have a squire.
Several Merr have been seen in town talking to the dwarven engineers. A lot of wet dwarves have also been seen.
