This rather eclectic mix of links will be added to, subtracted from, and fiddled with as I come across sites that tickle my fancy (it's a bit "Disney" heavy at the moment -- so sue me, I want to go back, but can't afford it yet!). (Note: In an effort to get this all done, I haven't bothered to check all these links -- if any are no longer good, let me know, okay?)
First, some friends' groovy sites:
Bruce is in a way-happening band called "A Halo Called Fred," and here's their Web site. It's chock-full of neato art and audio clips, so check it out.
A Halo Called FredMy friend Sue does oodles of traveling (now-a-days mostly to her beau John -- I refuse to call him "Pookie" -- in Scotland). Her Web site has some nice pictures of all three of them (Sue, John and Scotland), with a few of Arizona thrown in.
Sue's Home PageAlthough not specifically a friend (a friend doesn't charge 10 percent, does he?), it would be darn nice if you checked out my agent's Web site.
The Gary-Paul Agency
Other sites worth a visit:
The best damn urban legends Web site I know of. There's a message board I post to often, and a section specifically on Disney urban legends.
The San Fernando Valley Folklore Societies' Urban Legend Web SiteHey conspiracy fans! Think Kurt Cobain committed suicide? Visit this site and think again!
Tom Grant's Kurt Cobain Murder InvestigationAnd for you first amendment fans, this site could be important.
The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund
For you mental health nuts (and those of you who are just plain nuts), the following two sites are offered:
Mental Health Net -- Self-Help Anxiety
The Anxiety-Panic Internet Resource -- Articles
Here are a very few Disney-related Web Sites:
Not only does this site contain a very interesting and well-documented study of some much-overlooked artistry to be found at Walt Disney World, it also contains an interesting behind-the-scenes look that only a cast member can give. Be sure to check this site out!
The Trash Cans of DisneyAlthough this site hasn't been updated since, like, June 1997, it's owner was trying to get an interesting thing going, offering an open forum for Disney lovers and haters, and cast members (gruntled and disgruntled) to discuss whatever aspects of Disney they wanted to.
Oh, and if that isn't reason enough to check it out, it's also got photos of women flashing their boobs to the camera on Disneyland's Splash Mountain.
The Disnet TimesDid you know that Disney artists and Imagineers secretly hide images of Mickey Mouse in the movies they make and in the theme park attractions they design? (Well if you did, they wouldn't be hidden, now would they?)
As a bonus, there are a few Hidden Mickeys at the site that are credited to me -- see if you can find them, too!
Hidden Mickeys of DisneyA very interesting site about the making of the magic found in the Disney theme parks (and other theme parks around the world, too). This site also contains some very interesting "behind-the-scenes" anecdotes from Disney cast members, so if that's the kind of thing that interests you, check this site out.
Imagineers On-LineThe grand-daddy of all Disney links sights. There is a reason why all the best Disney Web sites have the logo for this site on their home pages.
Friends of Disney Alliance
And finally, some weird stuff:
See the site that stated it all (including my own Six Degrees page).
Six Degrees of Kevin BaconA "Magic 8-Ball" for those of you with slack...
Mystical Smoking Head of "Bob"Cute stuff if you dig raccoons, like me.
The World Wide Raccoon WebA fun E-mail gag you can pull on unsuspecting friends (or enemies) over and over again! (Just don't ever pull it on me!)
