Screenplays

I seem to be averaging a full screenplay a year, which is not a bad pace, I guess. (That's not counting all the fragments and cool scenes that come pouring out that I hope will fit into something someday...)

My first screenplay is The Reality Stone. Part sci-fi, part sword-and-sorcery fantasy, part cartoon, part Western -- its a big-budget special-effects extravaganza that, unlike most blockbusters today, has a strong plot; original, realistic characters; and is (if I do say so myself) original as hell.

My second screenplay is One Step Ahead. It's a smaller-scale (possibly an "Independent"?) script. This romantic drama is a "chase" picture (so it has some action in it) that takes place in the Nevada and Arizona desert. With three-dimensional characters that really come to life (any young actor would love to sink his or her teeth into one of these!), this story is truly endearing.

I'm proud to say that this screenplay came in THIRD in the 1999 Nevada State Screenwriting Competition, out of more than 100 other screenplays!

Check out the really cool Award Certificates I recieved from the governor and Lt. governor of Nevada!
