Jason Crisp,Texas maxbo@nhmccd.campus.mci.net I caught the bug when I was in college. That was about six years ago. Have you ever had a dream about finding arrowheads? If you have, then you definately have the bug. I have about 350-500 points that were all found in the Lake Livingston Texas area. From Pedernales to Perdiz, Gary, Wells, Calf Creek, just to name a few. The materials and craftsmanship range from crude to exquisite. Guess we lucked out and found a good hole. Happy hunting!

Glenn McQuaide, glenm@campbellsvil.edu , My wife and I are avid surface hunters in Southcentral KY. Our main collecting interests are Archaic points and prehistoric pipes.

My brother and I hunt in S.E. Pa. Today 11-10-96 We found eight nice points to add to our small but growing collection most of the points have been found around chester lancaster Co. in feilds. most are from delaware and Susquahana origin. most are white /lite milky quartz color from early woodland periods. We have found artifacts in some strange places such as a pestle stone in the rafters of a house that one of us just rented. Its a real nice find about 8-10" long but we are quite sure that indians didn't leave it there! we would like to hear from other hunters in the same area to trade info about various finds in this area.also we would like to talk to some one in Ky. area to get together with and hunt for points in a trip next summer.if there are any intrested parties out there please e-mail us. THanks. Mark & Neil Shattuck cdrgrvco@chesco.com

Ken Johnson KenJ95357@aol.com I have recently been bitten. About ten years ago I purchased a frame of 48 small points at an auction and subsequently learned that many were apparently quite valuable. In Sept I attended an auction here in Springfield, MO, and bought several nice points from a collection that came from the estate of an Oklahoman. I ended up with about 120 new pieces which include many nice small points such as Sequoya, Scallorn, Cahokia, etc; Three absolutely beautiful Hayes points, two nice Adena blades (Waubesa and Dickson) and many more. I have begun to hunt, have had some success locally, and am trying to learn to identify points. I have one particular point which I am told is a ceremonial item, and would be interested in corresponding with anyone who might be able to verify and perhaps appraise it. It appears to me to be an extremely fancy Cahokia or similar notched point with practically perfect serrations and extremely long shoulders.

Jeff Abbas ChefJeff@mindsync.com I was born and raised in northeast Iowa where I hunted for years and garnered a pretty impressive collection. I hunt every year when I go home on vacation to supplement the insatiable desire to collect. Would love to hook up with someone here to hunt with...
