Torrance UDIC Meeting

January 4, 1998

I waited five years for this meeting, or so it seems. So on a rainy day in Torrance, California, I finally had a two-hour audience with two of Singapore's finest citizens.

On the left is Chevalier de la Dragon, aka Sir Launcelot du Lake (Winston Goh), who I've known since pre-Dragon days; we really do go back to about 1993 on the net. On the right is his Lady Julia. At the time of this meeting, they were both attending Indiana University at Bloomington, but vacationed in southern California as part of their U.S. tour.

Julia took this one of me & Sir L.

This is Brandon. I think that's what his name was. He belongs to the hosts who housed Sir L. & Julia during their stay in southern California.

Postscript: Winston & Julia returned to Singapore in September 2001. It was right around 9/11...I remember Winston emailing me and telling me about the chaos it was to try to get home. They made it back safely, though.
