MUSICAL THEATRE LOVERS UNITED is an educational organization and club for people who "listen to the lullabye of Broadway" and shout "hooray for Hollywood." Founded by Bonnie Weiss in 1983, "MTLU" strives to preserve the legacy of the American musical. Its goals are twofold: 1) to inspire a deeper appreciation of this uniquely American art form in the hearts and minds of those already familiar with its treasures and 2) to create a new audience for musical theatre among future generations.
To meet these goals MTLU holds sing-alongs celebrating the great composers and lyricists of the stage and screen, produces cabaret shows, offers classes and workshops and designs special corporate and private presentations on musical theatre.
