| I like every part of the site except the one on
children. I'm a lesbian adopting a baby. Your section on children
seemed to adheare to some of the same fears/concens that the straight community has about
gays and children. I'm African American. Even living in California and born in 67 I expericed obsticles (many) just for being black. There is nothing wrong with being black. There is nothing wrong with being Gay. As homosexuals we can NOT be afraid to have children. Would it be right for African Americans to not have children or to hesitate to have children because of how society will treat them? As homosexuals we have to show the world that we are a diverse bunch. Some of us sit at home on a Friday night and watch movies and eat pop corn with family, friends or lovers. Some of us go to bars on Friday nights and sleep with who ever will go home with us. JUST like straight people. The more african americans that go againt the negative sterotypes the more aa will be excepted in society.. the more homosexuals go against the negative sterotypes the more they will be accepted in society...... so if society respects family then homosexuals who desire it should not stray away from becoming families just becuause it may present an obsticle to a child. What can I say to that? I'm black. I'm gay. I have a child and I'm a good person. I agree with you there. I believe that you are a good person. Take care of your babies!
