"OBIT. BIG SANDY NEWS, Louisa, KY. Wednesday, March 15, 2000. CHARLES A. HENSON, SR. 1928-2000. Charles A. Henson, Sr., 71, formerly of Walbridge and most recently of Orange Park, Florida and Millbury, Ohio, died Tuesday, February 15, at Orange park Medical Center, Florida. Mr. Henson was born October 3, 1928, in Fallsburg, Kentucky, a son of the late Bloomer (Martha Flynn) Henson. He was employed as an operator with the former C & O Railroad for 42 years; a member of Walbridge VFW Post #9963 and the Masonic Blue Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Betty Jane Chapman Henson; two daughters, Sandy (Gary) Romano and Lynda (Mike) Phinney, both of Orange Park; two sons, Charles (Vicki) Henson of Millbury and Nick (Wilma Jean) Chapman of Chapman, Kentucky; and two grandchildren, Gary (Roxanne) Romano of Orange Park and Dominic Romano of Millbury. Funeral services were conducted by Pastor Jeffrey Kimpel Saturday, February 19, at Witzler - Shank Funeral Home, Walbridge. Burial was in Lake Township Cemetery. Witzler - Shank Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements."

"OBIT. BIG SANDY NEWS, Louisa, KY. Wednesday, March 22, 2000. WALLACE HANSHAW 1920-2000. Wallace Hanshaw, 80, of Louisa, died Friday, March 17, at his residence after a short illness. Mr. Hanshaw was born February 20, 1920, in Matewan, West Virginia, a son of the late David C. and Leora Spurlock Hanshaw. He worked for Kentucky Power Company and was a member of Spencer Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Edith F. Hanshaw of Louisa; six daughters, Janet Irene Hanshaw and Elaine (Charles) Adkins, both of Louisa, Opal Caudill and Martha (Warren) Simpkins, both of Commercial Point, Ohio, Patsy (Tim) Myers and Greta Hanshaw, both of Columbus, Ohio; three sons, Frank Hanshaw and Joe W. Hanshaw, both of Louisa, and Homer Hanshaw of Catlettsburg; one sister, Lillie Douglas of Goose Creek, South Carolina; three brothers, Arnold Hanshaw of Louisa, John Henry Hanshaw of Jackson, Ohio and David H. Hanshaw of Utica, Michigan; 17 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by Reverends Ronnie Childers and Roger Jordan Monday, March 20, at Young Funeral Home Chapel, Louisa. Burial was in Wellman Cemetery, Fort Gay. Young Funeral Home, Inc. was in charge of arrangements."

"OBIT. BIG SANDY NEWS, Louisa, KY. Wednesday, March 22, 2000. HELEN MARIE VANOVER 1912-2000. Helen Marie Vanover, 87, of Martha, died Sunday March 19, at Mt. Carmel Medical Center West. Mrs. Vanover was born May 20, 1912, in Circleville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Emery C. and Mahala Quesinberry Ferguson. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Meredith Vanover, in 1989. She was a homemaker. Survivors include one daughter, Phyllis (George) Salyer of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Hobert Vanover and Homer Vanover, both of Minerva, Ohio; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by Reverend Paul Keaton Thursday, March 23, at 11 a.m. at Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church, Old Paint, Kentucky. Burial will be in Ike Cemetery, Martha. Young Funeral Home, Inc., Louisa, is in charge of arrangements.
