Funeral services for Donald L. Short, 59, of Louisa, will be conducted today (March 2) at 2 pm at the Young Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Gallie Isaac and the Rev. Edgar Kelley. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery in Louisa. Military graveside rites will be performed at the Greenlawn Cemetery by the local veterans organizations. Post 89 America Legion, Post 92 Paralyzed Veterans of Eastern Kentucky, Post 6103 VFW, Jack M. Roberts, Sr. Vice Commander District 13 and James E. Lyon Chaplain District 13.

Mr. Short died Feb. 28 in Humana Hospital Louisa.

Mr. Short was born Dec. 18, 1928 at Moheikin, W.Va., a son of the late Harlan and Fannie Waddle Short.

He was a Korean War veteran and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6103 in Louisa.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ruby Fugitt Short; a daughter, Mrs. Tammy Webb of Louisa; a son, Bill Short of Ashland; a brother; several sisters; and four grandchildren.
