John J. O'Bryan, 88, Cordell, died Sunday at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. O'Bryan was born November 7, 1894 in Wilbur, a son of the late William S. and Emaline Keller O'Bryan. He was a farmer and a World War I veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Dixie Thompson O'Bryan; a daughter, Mrs. Virgie Hall of Columbus, Ohio; two sons, Everett O'Bryan at home and John K. O'Bryan of Cordell; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Cordell Freewill Baptist Church by Jay Jordan, Roger Jordan and Kay Thompson, ministers. Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery at Louisa.
The body is at the church, where friends may call. Heston Funeral Home in Louisa is in charge.
