Strive - towards our ideal
Utilize -every power that will take us further toward it
Compare - our work with some other that is better
Control - every influence that would lead us away
Express - ourselves, not to be imitative
Sincere - we must be. The world has no use for hypocrites
Sympathetic - for others' victories and defeats
