An Eclectic Guide for Submissions
The following theatres on the web are open to
submissions directly from playwrights (as opposed to submissions through an
agent, director, or artistic director). Though some accept unsolicited scripts
(check first), most respond best to a synopsis, brief sample, and cover letter.
Of course, include a SASE with current postage. This list should not be
considered inclusive; rather, it’s slanted towards theatres with a taste
for adventurous new work.
