PLOOUPIESKI DETECTOR OF MACHINE ACCESS

This, the Plooupieski Detector, has the sole purpose of detecting a machine scanning of the web site. "Plooupieski" happens to be a non-word. That is, Plooupieski does not show any hits on the popular search engines. Plooupieski is defined as a do-nothing web page, linked-to from an empty Plooupieski link on a home page. The idea is a machine scan of the home page will detect this link to this Plooupieski page, but a human will never see it. Web page access statistics should show the number of times the Plooupieski link is accessed. If "Plooupieski" appears enough times in what seems here to be a valid discourse, search engines will log it in their database. (One can't just put a large number of Plooupieskis on this page. The machines are too smart.)
