EAST

Spirits of the east, spirits of the air that we breathe, 
  our beginnings, our dawn.  
As the moon waxes, giving us our vision of growth and change, 
  we ask Polyhymnia, muse of sacred poetry to join us.  
Let us seek our spiritual self through the words and music 
  and rhythms of our soul.
Be with us now.  Blessed be.


SOUTH
Sprits of the south, spirits of the fire that burns within us, the passion, 
  the warmth, our lifeforce.  
As the glory of the full moon shines upon us filling us with the heat of 
  change and transformation, we ask Terpsichore, muse of dancing to guide us 
    on our journey.  
We fill our bodies with the rhythms of our souls and the universe 
  as we create our lives.
Be with us now.  Blessed be.


WEST
Spirts of the west, spirits of water, emotion, and flowing rivers.  
Let the moon wane as we cleanse and renew our bodies and our souls and 
  prepare to delve deep within.  
On this journey let us call Euterpe, muse of music, to lead us in songs 
  that reside deep within both us and the spirit of our ancestors.
Be with us now.  Blessed be.


NORTH
Spirts of the north, spirits of the earth, and strength and nurturance.  
The new moon rises in the sky as we rest and renew and fill our bodies with 
  the love of who we are.  
We ask Erato, muse of love poetry, to join us and bestow us with words 
  that express the strength of our love for ourselves, 
    each other and the earth.
Be with us now.  Blessed be.


CENTER
Spirit of the center, spirits above us, spirits below us.  
We welcome you.  
We are one, we are whole, we are parts; we are grounded yet boundless;  
 we are joyful, we are sad.  
We are the child.  
We celebrate our child - the child that lies within each one of us.  
We embrace our life.  
Let play begin.
