MoonDance -- 1997

In the center, there is a large holder or chalice with both 
a black candle & a white candle (votives) in it. They represent
both the masculine & feminine forces, the yang & yin, the light and the
darkness, the all & the void. Basically, each color, as well as the
combination of the two, can be used to represent the Spirit. As the candles
burn together they make a neat pattern too. :-) The call is said by two
people... if you want a man to call the masculine part, he would do the white
part and a woman would do the black (based on the meaning of the colors in
the yin/yang symbol and other Eastern beliefs). 

INVOCATIONS:

In the East,
We call Air.
For you, we light the yellow candle --
Symbol of clarity, knowledge,
wisdom, happiness and joy.

We call Fire.
For you, we light the red candle --
Symbol of  energy, passion
esteem, desire and love.

In the West,
We call Water.
For you, we light the blue candle --
Symbol of peace, calm,
tranquillity, destiny and bliss.

In the North,
We call Earth.
For you, we light the green candle --
Symbol of fertility, luck
prosperity, abundance and growth.
