France, Roll 2

On the first Saturday of class, we escaped to a Kart track about 45 minutes out of town. It was a good tight course and the 6.5 hp Honda's were lightly governed.

Me, setting up for the final turn. LOOK AHEAD!

Sunday, four of us went to the Pyrenees, while most of the class went to San Sebastian, Spain. -- Twisty mountain switchbacks and I'm stuck in a Renault Twingo with two hungover girls in the back seat.

Hebah, myself, Juliana and Sandra with Cauterets in the background.

Once at the parking area, we took a skylift to the starting point of the park.

Just a short walk later, we came to the worst restaurant in France. Extremely slow and rude service and horrible food.

After grabbing some candy bars, Hebah and Juliana started to climb a hill, while Sandra and I headed deeper into the park.

The mountains were stunningly beautiful. The incredible scale of the rugged mountains contrasted with the peaceful valleys and wandering stream.

"You are entering an unsafe area in the high mountains" Now we're getting somewhere!

For Sandra, unsafe referred mainly to sneaky mud puddles.

A mountain shelter in case the weather turned bad

The skylift closed at 5, so we hopped on the fast track back to base. It was over all too soon.
