Shooting
I enjoy target shooting and plinking, mostly with .22 rimfire. I've wanted to try handgun metallic silhouette shooting, a blend of target shooting and plinking, for some time now, but have never been close to a range that has silhouette shooting. Hopefully I'll be able to try it soon.
One of the few things I enjoyed about Atlanta during the year I was there for grad school was the fabulous 1996 Olympic Shooting Range. All scoring was electronic. Acoustic sensors relayed information to a CRT at each firing point. Never a need to change targets. Shoot at either the indoor 10 meter airgun range or the 25 or 50 meter .22 rimfire outdoor ranges with covered firing lines. All for just $5 a day. They host many regional and national events.
My most recent purchase was the Ruger K77/22VMBZ you see me with above. Actually, the one in the picture was defective, and after a struggle, Ruger replaced it with another. I had a difficult time getting it to shoot accurately. It seems that many people have trouble with the 77/22s. Visit my 77/22 page.
