Note 1:

Some minor header flange clearancing may be necessary for spark plug installation due to slightly deeper spark plug location (for optimized spark)

All Edelbrock heads are drilled for 1/2" bolts, but bushings/washers are offered (Kit #9680) for use with 7/16" bolts.

Note 5:

Drilled for 1/2" bolts. Use Motorsport head bolt kit (M-6065-B289) when installing on blocks with 7/16" bolts.

Note 6:

Twisted Wedge heads (P/N TFS-51400001 and TFS-51400002) are drilled for 7/16" head bolts, but contain a "step" enabling the heads to be easily drilled for 1/2" bolts. The TFS-51400003 heads are drilled for 1/2" bolts.

Note 7:

Drilled for 1/2" bolts only. Use Motorsport head bolt kit (M-6065-B289), when installing on 289/302 applications.

Note 8:

When using stud mounted rockers, with guide plates, a hardened pushrod must be used.

Note 9:

Motorsport recommends its stock length hardened pushrods. (M6565-A302).

Note 10:

Hardened pushrods 0.500" longer than stock are required.

Note 11:

World has noted that the length of stock pushrods may vary. It suggests measuring your pushrods, then ordering hardened pushrods to replace them.

Note 12:

Edelbrock heads are designed to bolt on straight out of the box, and fit all 289-351 Windsor engines. Flycutting pistons is required with 2.02" valves at cam lift greater than 0.500".

Note 13:

Aftermarket roller rockers are highly recommended.

Note 14:

Stock combustion chamber is 58cc. To maintain stock compression, these heads must be milled to 58cc, then piston to valve clearance checked, especially with after market cams. If your engine is super charged, World recommends leaving the heads at 64cc.

Available with either 2.02" or 1.90" intake valve sizes, and 1.60" exhaust valves.

Can be machined for up to 1.625" spring, but will accept 1.250", 1.437", and 1.550" springs out of the box, (assembled with 1.250" springs).

Note 19:

Edelbrock heads come equipped to handle camshafts up to 0.575" lift. However, Edelbrock engineers recommend that you check piston to valve clearance with any cam with more than a 0.500" lift when a 2.02" valve is used.

Note 20:

Approximately 0.500" lift, 220-224 degrees duration such as M6250-E303/B303, M6250-X303, (0.544" lift, 224 degrees duration at 0.050"), may also be used but pistons will have to be notched. Valve timing can affect piston to valve clearance so this tolerance should be checked with any cam approaching 0.500" lift.

Note 21:

Maximum with stock pistons. However, World maintains that this head will flow well beyond this lift and duration.

Note 22:

Maximum with stock pistons (if Windsor is milled for 58cc chamber volume, piston to valve clearance must be checked). However, World maintains that the Windsor flows well up to and beyond 0.700" lift.

Note 23:

Fel-Pro P/N 9333 PT-1 head gaskets for stock 5.0 engines, Fel-Pro P/N 1011-2 gaskets for engines with up to 12:1 compression, and Fel-Pro P/N1006 Loc-Wire gaskets for engines with more than 12:1 compression, or supercharger/turbocharger/big nitrous systems.

Assembled Edelbrock heads come with one-piece, stainless steel, under-cut, 11/32" valves with a Serdi-machined 3-angle valve job. Also included, are valve springs, (capable of 0.575" lift), phosphor-bronze valve guides, two-ring oil control seals, steel retainers, machined steel locks, rocker studs, and guideplates, (where applicable). And, Heli-Coils in the rocker, exhaust and manifold bolt holes. Screw-in studs and guideplates are supplied with applicable heads.

Note 27:

Assembled GT-40 heads come with stainless steel valves, single springs, (with damper), hardened locks, machined steel retainers, and positive rubber valve seals.

Note 28:

Assembled aluminum GT-40 "Turbo Swirl" heads come with stainless steel valves, single springs, (with damper), hardened locks, machined steel retainers, and positive rubber valve seals.

Note 29:

Assembled TFS Twisted Wedge heads come with stainless steel one-piece 11/32" valves, manganese phosphor valve guides, 1.470" single valves springs with damper (good for 0.540" lift), stamped 7 degree keepers, chrome molly retainers, and positive teflon seals. TFS heads using stud mounted rockers come with guide plates and screw-in studs.

Assembled World products Windsor Jr. heads come with one-piece stainless steel swirl-polished valves with hard chrome stems and stellite tips; 1,250" valve springs, 7 degree chrome-moly retainers and locks; 7/16" bottom, 3/8" top chrome moly studs and 5/16" guideplates.

Edelbrock offers four different versions of it's 50 state legal Performer heads and two different versions of it's off-road Performer RPM heads. Performer heads are offered in pedestal mount or 3/8" stud mount rocker configurations with either 1.90" or 2.02" intake valves. Both have 1.60" exhaust valves. Performer RPM heads do not have heat crossover or provisions for AIR injection plumbing. Combustion chamber and intake runner volume are common to both Performer and Performer RPM heads.

As a result of optimizing the valve locations, valve angles, and combustion chamber shape, the Twisted Wedge heads use stock height exhaust ports without power loss.TFS offers the Twisted Wedge heads in three configurations: pedestal mount, stud mount and stud mount machined for Fel-Pro Loc-Wire head gaskets.

World Products offers two basic designs for the 5.0: the Windsor and the Windsor Jr., both of which are available in cast iron or aluminum. The Windsor Jr. is designed specifically for the 5.0 applications. The Windsor was originally designed for earlier 351W engines. However, World Products maintains that the Windsor with extra large intake runners and bigger valves (and same price) is still the more popular head with the 5.0 crowd.
