CROSSWHITE
Looking for information on WILLIAM and JACOB CROSSWHITE. Jacob came to Stokes Co. about 1797 and I don't know when William came. His first deed are about 1816. Trying to find where they came from. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Sandy

Need info on parentage and siblings of James (Franklin?) KING, B:30 Nov 1796 Stokes Co. N.C. wife, Barzillah Gordon, m. 13 Aug 1819. Family moved to Greene County, IN before 1840 census. John and Elizabeth King were thought to be parents of James but have no additional info on them.

JEAN
I am researching the family of Rev. Edmund JEAN who was born ca. 1755 probably in Brunswick County, VA. He died ca. 1801 Stokes County, NC. Also, lived in Warren County. He was married twice -- first wife unknown, second was Martha (Patty) BEASLEY who died after 1830 in TN. Related families include MEDEARIS, BECK, WILLIAMSON, possibly LOVE. I am looking for information on the JOHNSON family. Also interested in location of the Tip Johnson farm (known as such at least through the 1950's.) Some members are William and Tippecanoe. Part of family moved to Indiana in early 1800's.

JOINS/JINES/GOINS
Have Wilkes Co. birth certificate stating that the father of Thomas JOINES, one Joseph JOINES was born in Stokes Co. We have other information that a Poindexter JOINES was born in Stokes Co. in 1802. I would like to exchange data on the family of my 2nd great grandfather. John Sands was born on 4 Oct 1796 in VA and was the sone of William Sands and Susannah Bennett Sands. John married Mary (unknown) and had the following children: Tandy, 1829; John Jr, 1832; Daniel, 1834; Mary, 1837; Susan, 1840; Columbus, 1842; and Sally, 1844. WILLIAM RIDGE
In 1760's, WILLIAM RIDGE of Salisbury, NC rented two of his slaves, SAM and 'CATE' to the Wachovia Association of Salem, NC (What was and still is a Moravian Community located in Winston-Salem, Forsyth Co., NC). He later sold SAM to the Association for 120 pounds. Seeking information on Caleb William "Will" Ferguson, b. 1865 Patrick Co VA - d.1944 Henry Co. VA, m. Maggie Jane Joyce 1888 b. 1871 - d 1943 in Stokes Co. Maggie was the dau of Livingston Lafayette Joyce and Mary Elizabeth "Betsy" Knight. "Will" was the son of Caleb Heptinstall Ferguson and Frances Fuqua Shelton - both (I think)of Patrick Co. VA They had 8 children: Lillie Virginia Ferguson Wood (Elmer), Jesse Ferguson - died as a small child Ella Maude Ferguson Brown (John "Booker"), Grover Ferguson (Irene Clark), William F. Ferguson (died as a small child),Sally Ferguson Clark (Harry) , Lula Ferguson Lawrence (Harvey), and Raymond Ferguson (Alice Stovall). I have a fair amount of information contained in my Mormon PAF (Mac) program - but need hardcopy proof (preferably census data - 1900 or 1910 - placing the family in Stokes Co. Also seeking proof of his parents. Appreciate any assistance.
