I am looking for any information on a Cherokee Chief DONOHOO
who came from Louisa County, Va to the East Bend of the Yadkin River in
the early 1700's and settled. He is said to have married Mary WENTWORTH,
and later HAUSER and POINDEXTER families petitioned for Cherokee lands in
Oklahoma, claiming they were decedants of Chief Donohoo. Any info will

Stokes County Query: I descend from Henry Kirby whose will probated 1790,
an early settler. There is some confusion as to which son married
Elizabeth East, ie, Pleasant or Jesse. Some suggest that she was married
to Jesse and that he died in Stokes County about 1816. Thanks for any
