COOK Am searching for John J. COOK, b. 1844 in N.C. first wife unknown. Second wife named Vinhif________. b. 1860 in Germany. John COOK had 4 children, Cordelia (Della) COOK b. 1879 in Wilkesboro, Wilkes Co. N.C., Harris COOK b. 1875, m. Mattie____ in N.C. Swini COOK (male) b.1887, m. Mary____ in N.C., Daney COOK, (male) b. !892 in N.C. Because of the ages I figure only Daney was the son of Vinhif, and the other 3 children were by John's first wife. The family moved to Illinois, before 1900, as Cordelia married Joseph Hampton in the year 1900, probably in Adams Co. IL., or across the Mississippi River in Mo. They had 5 children, Evaline, Clara, Fred, and Charles were born in Paw Paw, Wyoming Township, Lee Co. IL. The youngest Myrtle Mae, was born in Mendota, LaSalle Co, IL., where Cordelia, and Joseph lived out their lives, died, and are buried there. Harris COOK, wife Mary, and 2 daughters, returned to Statesville, N.C. Harris was still living in Statesville, N.C. in 1948, When Della ( COOK ) Hampton died. All Info on any members of this family, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks one, and all.
