Way back when I was in college, I was the stage manager for the concert board. After graduation, in 1989, I left it behind.
In 2002, I was in a bad place in my life, I was unhappy with my job and not really sure were my life was going. One day I was reminiscing about stage managing a Red Hot Chili Peppers' show at Syracuse, when a co-worker (Colleen Galleon), who was involved with the company at the Sanford Meisner Center, overheard me. As it turns out, they were looking for a stage manager at the theater. My only theater experience in high school musicals. But I said yes anyway. Little did I know what a life changing decision that was. Kimmin O’Donnell took me under her wing and the cast embraced me, getting back as much as I was giving. It was a great feeling, but more importantly I had discovered my calling. Since then I have worked over 20 shows, met many wonderful people and have not lost the love that I discovered with that production.
