Kevin -- A transplanted Easterner, Kevin is an avid reader of ancient and modern history, poetry, and many other strange things. He has been known to travel ridiculous distances to see live music. He spends many hours a week having fun with computational physics and software design at Sandia Labs; to his great amazement they pay him for it.
Kim -- Originally trained as a physicist, Kim now works as a consultant in the electronic display industry. Despite a love of music, she has a cacophony of interests, from ultimate frisbee to business strategy.
Sidra -- After studying astrophysics in college, Sidra has worked as a software engineer for the past 3 years on gps-based automobile navigation systems. She has recently moved on to the world of e-commerce with an Internet Start-up in Silicon Valley. She reads, writes [fiction, non-fiction, websites], sings, pursues some handicrafts and enjoys anime as long as it's subtitled, not dubbed. She's recently taken up rollerblading, but is much more handy [or wheel-y] on a bicycle. She struggles mightily not to lord her Privileged Alaskan Status over those Lower 48'ers and often fails.
Vicki -- An original B&C member, Vicki is also living a bi-coastally. . .

Lyn -- The founder of the first Books and Cooks group, Lyn is living and working as a policy wonk in the Washington D.C. area right now. If she can time things right, she likes to pop in for Books and Cooks West meetings when she's on the west coast..
