Did Kerry win?
The Blogging of the President has a list of articles questioning the accuracy of the vote count in Ohio and Florida (from Politics in the Zeros). I'm trying to figure out whether the Republicans stole the election.
Most elections have some level of fraud, going back to Landslide Lyndon and long before that. And considering the extreme Republicans tactics on display in the election, there's every reason to believe that Tuesday's election continued the pattern. The question is whether Kerry would have won the Presidency if it weren't for that fraud.
For example, this graph displays how accurate exit polls with in states with paper ballots, while Bush exceeded the exit polls results in states with electronic ballots. According to this chart, Florida counties with optical scanner tabulations sent voting totals in Republicans did massively better that you'd expect from the party registrations. And there are numerous sad stories from Ohio about voters who didn't receive absentee ballots, voting lines several hours long in minority districts, and other problems.
Since the mainstream media isn't investigating, and the Democratic Party isn't challenging the results, it's an academic issue. Still, it seems more likely than not that the American people elected John Kerry as President.

Thanks for shedding light on this, Julian.
BTW, I'm working on a major update to the list on BOP for tomorrow.
Really appreciate your support.
Do you REALLY believe that?! Further more, what makes you feel that most folks even care? Thank God the whole wretched, dirty mess is over! For those who can't get on with their lives; get over it, many of us supported a candidiate that didn't win.
As a New Hampshire resident of some two decades, I can assure you that the only difficulty encountered in my precinct were Kerry supporters, bussed in from other states, attempting to block the polls to anyone who wouldn't state that they were voting "Kerry".
As an Independent, in a "swing" state in a country that allows one the right to cast their vote in secret, I felt (and feel) no compulsion to indicate where my vote went, including to those idiot exit pollers- I always tell them the exact opposite of what I have done. Has it occured to you that many folks may have done the same?
Continue with your doubts and concern of conspiracy... perhaps Mr. Heinz-Kerry and Mr. "If you've been wronged due to the negligence of others" Edwards will include you in their campaign the next time they opt to grace New Hampshire with their presence to kick off another round. That is, of course, if Hillary doesn't get here first.
While I believed what I wrote at the time, I've changed my mind after reading numerous articles on the subject. Specifically, I suspect that more people voted for Bush than Kerry in Ohio, though I still hope that the recount David Cobb, Michael Badnarik, and Jesse Jackson are seeking occurs.
Republican control of the Ohio government may very well have cost Kerry the election, because of lost voter registrations, absentee ballots that didn't arrive, strict rules regarding absentee ballots, and insufficient polling stations in minority districts. Similarly, questionable tactics by Jeb Bush and Katherine Harris, such as removing law-abiding citizens from the voting roster, let Bush become President in 2000.
Dubious pre-election actions, not Election Day fraud, helped Bush win in 2000 and 2004.
