Drawin' Fool
Wow. That didn't take long!

A little rapid-fire something for Ten Ton Studios' first-ever digital art contest. In case y'all were wondering, the players are Vash the Stampede from "Trigun" and Faye Valentine from "Cowboy Bebop". And no, I'm not a big Japanime fan, but this obscure, quirky couplet was far more preferable/interesting to render in Photoshop than the cringeworthy alternative. Namely, over-exposed, over-muscled men in tights. Shudder.

really cool pic, tom!
hehe can't believe you found the time to enter, considering you told me you would be unable to when I last asked at my wedding. But thanks much for entering, Is Vash stealing the last donut and earning Feye's (Faye?)rage?
I like the composition of earlier posted piece a lot as well, it looks like it could be a killer picture!
Thanx Scott. However, if you recall, it seemed the digital challenge subject was going to be "Lord of the Rings", back then.
In which case, I would NOT have entered: between Bakshi, Frazetta, Tolkien himself and (of course) the 800-pound gorillae of Alan Lee/Pete Jackson/Hollywood, there's just not much room for revisioning things. "Cowboy Bebop" (AKA "Firefly: The Animated Series") is quite another matter.
But given my attention span matches that of a caffeinated four-year-old -- it approaches certainty I'll be a no-show come digi-challenge #2. Deep sigh.
Oh, and that second-to-most-recent entry (with the four-rotored speedbike thingie, cookie-munching kzin, etc.) was just another 'cobweb-shaking' sketch, nothing more. If it ever does come up for Photoshop rendering -- God forbid -- it'll just have to get in line behind last month's Pig Gal.
This is as good a place to discuss my nefarious plans as any, namely if you win, howzabout you make the digi-challenge subject of the next week the same as it's sketch challenge, so it's less work, lol.
Not that it matters, I leave on Saturday in the AM for the honeymoon.
