WHAT:The beginning of your life as an actor! The first step to truly becoming the actor you know you are in whichever medium you prefer. A strong program with professional ideals that gives all actors a chance to learn and develop in a challenging and nurturing environment. WHEN:WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS LEVEL?WHAT IS TAUGHT:
- Group A Mondays 7:30-9:30 PM
- Group B Wednesdays 7:30-9:30 PM
- Group C Tuesdays 12:00 - 2:00 PM -Starts September '08
- Group D Thursdays 12:00 - 2:00 PM -Starts September '08
- Body and Voice Technique is optional and cash & carry two Saturday mornings per month 10:00-12:00.
- Physical and Vocal Awareness
- Improvisation
- Listening and Reacting
- Scene Skills for film and TV
- Monologue Auditions for Stage and Film
- On Camera Auditioning Skills
- Industry Awareness
- Basic stage and theatre awareness
- Commercials / Improv and Scripted
Actors with little to no experience or training, or who have been out of it for a significant period of time and have not acted in many years. People who are wanting to see if this is the right road for them, or those who know this is who they are and what they should be doing, and are finally ready to put in the effort and take the leap.
COMMITMENT: Minimum 3 months. Four classes per month.
FEE: $80.00 per month
CLASS SIZE: Limited to 12 students per Group.
YOU CAN EXPECT IN THIS LEVEL:
- You will work on camera
- Students do more on their feet than in their seats.
- There is a small teacher/student ratio
- Instructors who know how to spot and nurture outstanding talent at any level.
- A professional and traditional acting school that encompasses all of our programs at all levels.
- All students are treated as individuals.
- To work with material from recent films, TV shows and commercials, as well as use material from challenging plays.
- To work towards moving up to Level Two.
- With each renewed month you never repeat material, and you will get a chance to work with students from the Master Level.
- Clearly seeing yourself in comparison to working actors so you can understand what you need to do to get there.
- A plan to get you to the next level and get your career started.
- An all school, all levels, Master Class with studio Director Lisina Longo every other month.
