SEARCHING FOR MURPHY'S
ENTRIES TO MY MURPHY GUESTBOOK
Last updated 4-10-98
This page will no longer be updated. I am having too many health problems to feel like spending
the time to do it in the quality manner it deserves plus I have only recently discovered (why
didn't anyone tell me this?) that GenForum offers a MUCH better and AUTOMATED free query system
which I highly recommend that you try. While you may find queries on this page which you may be
able to answer (and please do if you can) I recommend that after reading them you click on the
GenForum link below for the appropriate name of your interest and leave any and all queries there.
Thanks for the support I had from everyone while I was doing them. Tim
The
boards below are all great sources of data for the sunames from my ancestry
listed in the table below. GenForums own description of their site
is below.
GenForum says, "GenForum is a conglomeration of message boards (some
people call them queries, we call them forums). Anyone can post to our
forums and immediately have their data shared with other researchers. From
our home page, you can access our over 8200 forums devoted to specific
surnames, states, countries, and general topics."
I have received the following queries and comments
regarding MURPHY and I thought either someone could help with the queries
or someone may be helped by the comments. If so please contact the originator
of the original message. If you have a query here that is no longer necessary please let me know
so I may remove it. Thanks, Tim.

The page was quite helpful, I have some ancestors of the Murphy line. Would you know of any Murphy's and Jenson's and Kunkel's that may have married or mixed. If so I would greatly appreciate any information.

I'm looking for my grandmother Mary Josephine Murphy Cushing's
brother who as I understand originally lived in the Boston area.
When I saw your Murphy connection I thought it might be a good
place to look. FYI Mary Josephine Murphy Cushing was born in
Carrick on Suir, County Tipperary, Ireland on March 22, 1893.
She came to the States to work as a domestic for a professor at
Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey, where she married
and raised a family of seven children. She is buried in St. Paul's
Cemetery, Princeton, New Jersey. If you think there is any connection,
please contact me at the address given. Good luck in your search.

My roots: Patrick Murphy from Co. Wexford. Mary Burns, Co. Wicklow. Moved to Quebec where they married. Moved to Ill. then to KS. My grandmother was a Sargent who married John Murphy in KS. My maternal Grandmother was
a Duffy who married a Strickler in KS. I have not started my search for roots as yet. You have a nice site.

Just getting started in searching the MURPHY line and really don
know where to start. I believe most of my ancestors are from
the Tennessee area. If you could give me a few pointers I would
appreciate it. I have an aunt that married into the Hardison family
and she lives in Pinetown N.C.
Thanks and keep up the good work

Hello; you are very lucky to have a bible that is actually filled out. My husbands bible with the Murphy name only has pictures and no names. We live in northern Ontario Canada. All we know about our bible is that it belonged to ggrandfather and written in pen on the inside cover is West Troy New York. We have just started our search the name is John Murphy and he was
married in Canada in 1888 other than that we have nothing. We are looking forward to the search as my husband and my two sons are the last of the line. Enjoyed your page.
May the Lord take a liking to you but not too soon.

I just started look at your page. Would like to know if you have any Murphy from KY. My husband is a Murphy and look for a Moses Murphy born in 1795 KY. Married Sarah E.__________. Died between 1860-1870 in Putman Co. Illinois. The children of Moses and Sarah are: William, Arthur, John, Jeremiah, Moses Jr., James and Barxton.
Would like to know the parents of Moses Murphy. Lost the family between the time they left Illinois and came to Kansas. They came to Kansas in the 1870. If you have any information it would be greatly appriecated.
Thank you for your time
Teresa
