William Thornton, son of the above William Thornton
and his wife, Barbara Westly (died 1600), married Frances Robertson.
William Thornton, son of the above William Thornton and his wife, Frances Robertson, died in 1650.
William Thornton, son of the above William Thornton who died in 1650 and a grandson of William Thornton and Frances Robertson, emigrated to Virginia before 1646. He died in Virginia in 1708.
Francis Thornton, son of the emigrant William Thornton, was born in 1651 and died in 1726. He married Alice Savage, daughter of Captain Anthony Savage and his wife, Alice Stafford. Francis Thornton was a member of the House of Burgesses.
Margaret Thornton, daughter of the above Francis Thornton
and his wife, Alice Savage, was born in 1678. She married her cousin, William
Strother.
