These are some recent additions to my photo album that relate to my hobby of hang gliding. Enjoy!

This is the wing that I currently fly with. It is an Airwave Klassic 144. I really love how this wing performs and have had several wonderful flights on it including my longest to date of 5 hours that took place on July 17th from Lookout Mountain Flight Park (LMFP). The photo was taken at the Whitwell, TN launch prior to my first flight there in July 1998.

This is the first glider that I owned, an
Airwave 10-meter Pulse. I flew it for almost 60 hours prior to
trading it in for the Klassic. Phil Brown is the pilot in back
of the wing that was going to fly it down to the LZ on the day
I took this photo. The wind was crossing from the SW that day
and he decided not to fly. I subsequently launched it and popped
the nose into a stall. I ended up in the trees a short distance
from launch and ended up falling gently through the trees to the
ground. No body parts injured and only a little aluminum damage.
Sorry, I don't have any after shots.
This is a view of Chattanooga, Tennessee from about 500' above Sunset Rock. Point Park is part of the Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park. This day (July 1, 1998) I flew to the Point twice (a 28 mile out and return from LMFP). Later that same day, I returned there flying with Nate (see below) and got a photo of him as he turned around past the monument. One has to fly beyond the monument at Point Park to count the out and return according to those who portend to know.

This is a view of the monument at Point Park and my shadow is at about 10 o'clock over the trail and I was heading north when I took the picture from about 600' over the Point.

This is Nate landing his Mark IV at the church landing zone in Whitwell, TN. This was the first time he had flown from there. I flew down first and it was also my first flight from there. It is a Tennessee Tree Toppers site and rated for a Hang III (Intermediate) site. I just obtained my Hang III on June 11, 1998.

On the evening of the two flights to the
Point, I was sitting on Ann and Jack's patio at the Lookout LZ
watching the landings of other pilots when I noticed this cirrus
cloud formation that looked remarkably avian. I snapped a picture
to save it for posterity. It was a beautiful sunset.
