ENJOYING LIFE!: I'm teaching school and spending most of my time at home with my wonderful wife Elaine. I have written 216 weekly columns in our local newspaper, the Carroll Star News, and you can see many of my early columns here. I spent part of the summer of 96 on a NOAA research vessel, the RV Chapman, in the western Gulf of Mexico and the rest living in Portadown, Northern Ireland. In August of 98 I went on a cruise in the Bahamas, and in August of 99, I spent a week at the Compleat Angler Hotel (Ernest Hemmingway's old home), on the Island of Bimini. Shame, but the hotel has since burned and the aircraft I flew on, a Grumman Mallard, was lost with all passengers off Miami harbor a few years ago. August of 2000 found me on the beautiful island of Aruba in the Dutch Carribean. August of 2001 I visited Cancun, Mexico. In 2004, Elaine and I enjoyed our honeymoon in Ireland, Scotland, and Amsterdam. In the summer of 07 I spent 3 weeks in the interior of Alaska, visiting my brother. You can view some of my photos right here My monkey Cecil went along and you can see him at thislink. We enjoy traveling to warm beaches, tall mountains, and spur of the moment "road trips". By the way, the background on this page is Kudzu, Georgia's second favorite weed. Some links you might find interesting: My Grandfather Miller's home town, Castle Douglas, Scotland. This page was last updated September 1, 2007, but I hope to completely re-do my page when I get smarter with this stuff. E-mail me now!
