Scan Manager 1.1 Pro is a High-Performance Windows-Based program designed primarily for the Amateur Radio & SWL Enthusiast. The program uses a simple but extremely powerful Graphical User Interface to control the Scan Functions and Databases. The Pro edition of this software includes the new version of SWL Manager (Version 2.0). Both programs are seemlessly integtrated for ease of use.
Scan Manager 1.1 Pro's Scan Category Concept is based upon the classification of services allocated by the ITU. These classifications (refered to as Scan Categories in Scan Manager) are broken down into the following categories: Aeronautical, Amateur, SWL Broadcasting, Standard Frequency & Time Signals, and Fixed Services. In addition, Scan Manager 1.1 Pro includes the AM Broadcast Band(540-1700 kHz), the U.S. Citizens Band(Channels 1-40), W1AW Schedule (from the ARRL; Code Practice; Code, Teleprinter, and Voice Bulletins), Miscellaneous (Custom Scanning), and, of course, the User Database Scan Category (Create Custom Scan Categories). The Scan Categories are pre-programmed with the appropriate HF band assignments which makes scanning by classification, or category Extremely Easy!
Scan Manager 1.1 Pro includes a Sample Scan Category in the User Database (to help the user get started building their own custom scan categories). In addition, Scan Manager 1.1 Pro allows the user to modify either the SWL or the User Database which includes Editing, Adding, and Deleting records. The software automatically Tunes, and sets the Mode of popular Kenwood, Icom, Drake R8A, and Yaesu HF Radios via your computer's serial I/O port. (Serial I/O interface required for most radios; available from the manufacturer or your favorite HAM Radio store.)

SWL Manager 2.0 is designed to assist the Short Wave Listener determine which countries are broadcasting English Speaking Programs, including the Time and Frequencies they're on.
The SWL Database contains hundreds of broadcasts from dozens of countries world-wide and the user has full control over the database including Add, Edit, and Delete functions. This allows the user to add virtually an unlimited number of SWL broadcast information, limited only by hard disk space. In addition, SWL Manager has built-in Tuning & Scan control functions compatible with popular Kenwood, Icom, Drake R8A, and Yaesu HF radios.
