Emmett, it's fairly obvious from your post that you are of OUR KIND,

and you raise some serious and good questions. First off, know that

alt.slack is not the Church. Most of us are ministers, but except for

the foundation, we don't speak for the Subgenius Foundation. Sending

in the $30 is a wise and just course of action, because of the shit

you get, because of the Slack you shall reap from it, and because it

will gain you entry to the secret world of the Subgenius Underground.

As for alt.slack, the way it looks now is about how EARTH is going to

look at 7:05 AM on July 5. I would be lying if I told you that one of

our goals WASN'T petulant vengeance, and here many of us are getting a

head-start. But beyond the flaming riot scenes, even inside them, you

will hopefully find a piquant and subtle charm to our ways, and know

that we're folks you'd enjoy the company of in a non-armageddon

situation. Then again, maybe you'll kill us. Emmett, the choice is

up to YOU, and we wish you good luck and correct knowledge.
