TP's Analytical Lab can perform a full range of solution or treated wood analyses on all currently used wood preservatives. TP is also involved with many of the newer preservatives such as ACQ, Copper Napthenate, Borates, Copper-8-Quinolinolate, Polyphase (IPBC), Chlorothaloni, CDDC, CC, LBA-A and the new water repelling CCA products.
TP is an active participant in most AWPA Technical Committees. TP can offer independent verification of wood preservative efficacy studies through our soil block and water repellency testing capabilities.
TP maintains a small 6" diameter by 40" pilot pressure treating cylinder suitable for impregnating small scale test specimens. One of the key indicators of the viability of a new preservatives is the AWPA E7 Field Stake test performance. TP has a working arrangement with an E7 Stake Plot located in Inverness, Florida. We can treat the needed sets of stakes at desired retention gradients, install, and monitor these tests over a designated time span.
