TP provides quality monitoring programs at treatment plants throughout the USA (including Hawaii and Puerto Rico) and Canada. Services include inspection, auditing and testing of all preservatives and preservative treated wood products, such as lumber, timbers, plywood, foundation (PWF), poles, piling, shakes and laminated products. Services are also available for fire-retardant products.
In addition to a network of strategically located field representatives, TP maintains a fully-equipped chemical and physical laboratory, capable of analyzing all treated wood products and wood preservatives. Environmental sampling and testing services are also available for ground and waste water, soil and sludge, and air quality.
TP is proud to be the largest agency under the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) triple-tiered audit and quality stamping program. TP subscribers account for the majority of total production under this respected program. TP has also been active for years in the standards writing and review process, with TP staff serving on all of the AWPA Management and Technical Subcommittees.
