This picture was taken in the PICU during Will's first week of life.  Due to respiratory problems, that were secondary to his heart condition, we were told that Will's breathing would need to be temporarily supported by a mechanical ventilator. Will remained on a ventilator for the majority of the next 18 months--until his heart was repaired in Boston.

The bear remains one of Will's trusted companions.
