Parenting Will in the PICU

One of the greatest challenges of having a chronically hospitalized child was finding ways that we could parent and interact with him. The nurses and aides were wonderful in this regard. They taught us ways to hold and bathe Will, as well as all of his noninvasive medical cares. As this picture happily shows, tubes and wires did not stand in the way of bonding with Will.
