One of our favorite pictures taken during one of our happiest times. Will was still an inpatient, but thanks to a portable ventilating system, we were able to take him out on passes to our home, the zoo, and the farmer's market. Unfortunately, Will's heart was still not repaired, leaving him at risk for numerous health problems. Unbeknownst to us at that time, Will's ureter was damaged which nearly resulted in the loss of his left kidney.
