Treat your Medicare Card like a credit card.
  • Question charges you do not understand.
  • Remember, no one should use your card to receive health care benefits but you.
  • Read your Medicare statements and hospital/doctor bills. Review them as carefully as you would review your bank statement.
  • Be alert to mistakes. Even clerial errors can cause benefits to be paid incorrectly.
