The name Uglybass has since become my computer nickname, though
I don't use it as much these days. I figure it still deserves an explanation
since it's my email address and all.
That's me on the left, behind the bass. I don't play as I used to, because a really weird thing happened when I hit my thirties- all of the sudden it wasn't as much fun to be out in a smokey bar full of drunks at 3 in the morning listening to and playing in bands that emit a decibel level a few logarithms higher than what the human ear is designed to handle. I never thought it would happen to me, until it did. Funny how that works... ;)
So what do I do now that I've freed up 50 hours a week in my schedule by
quitting the band? Why, I hang out on the computer of course! I think I
would be considered pathetic if I weren't having so much fun. ;) Then again,
maybe it has taken its toll- in my spare time, I've written My
Paranoid Rant about Evil Sunflowers. A word of warning, though- if you
read this, you'll never think about sunflowers in quite the same way again...
