Bickel Farms is owned and operated by Wilford and Joanie Bickel and is located in Central Alabama at Alpine. If you are in the market for bulls and cows that can produce healthy calves like shown we invite you to come visit or call us for your breeding stock needs!
Our cattle operation started 16 years ago as a small commercial cattle producer and built from there to today's Registered Charolais Herd. We believe our commercial background gives us an insight into the genetic needs of the commercial cattlemen. We use artificial insemination and superior "clean up bulls" to produce bulls and heifers that will be easy calving, fast growing and heavy milking!!
All the bulls we sell for breeding are bred to be easy calving for the commercial or purebred operation. You can rest easy during calving season when you use a BF branded bull!! Our bulls are bred to produce live healthy calves like the ones above!! We will not sacrifice ease of birthing to follow the latest "hot" trends. Calves that arrive easy and grow fast are our goal!!
All of the heifers we breed are "easy keepers"! We have searched to find bloodlines that can maintain their body weights and raise good calves on our less than lush southeastern pastures. Our girls are early maturing and in most cases have their first calf on the ground before they are 3 years old! These heifers will make money for your operation!!
Bickel Farms is proud to be an active member of the American International Charolais Association, Alabama Charolais Association and R-Calf United Stockgrowers of America. Wilford has been honored to be on the Board of Directors of the Alabama Charolais Association since 2002 and has 2 more years to serve on his current term.
