[June 2002] : Yet another career twist -- just started work at the Rivers School as Director of Technology.
Til June, I was working at the Larz Anderson Auto Museum, at the Museum of Transportation in Brookline, Massachusetts, as (Acting) Director of Education. It was a temporary, part-time position. I was also doing freelance tech-web work, as the job search went on ...
I used to work for ETC Music Inc. until we ran out of green. We made MusicTeller. It's like an ATM machine for music -- it loads MP3-style digital music files directly onto a portable digital music player, like the Rio 600, 800, or Nike PSA[Play.
What is this and how does it work? Check out How Stuff Works: http://www.howstuffworks.com/musicteller.htm
We got the gang together to build a few of the new fixtures at my house around Thanksgiving time:
I used to work for Houghton Mifflin Interactive (HMI), which later became Sunburst Technology. It's a division of the Hougton Mifflin Company that is focused on publishing multi-media software in the consumer and education markets. You may know Houghton Mifflin from your childhood, and such books as Curious George and Mike Mulligan and His Steamshovel.
I used to manage the technical services at HMI, including customer service, tech support, software quality assurance, and internal technical operations. Later I joined the product team and worked on tools to help teachers and students manage technology, and use technology to help manage their lives:
Or at least check out Houghton Mifflin and it's many busy divisions:Houghton Mifflin Company:
Education Place -- Houghton's School Division
Sixth Floor Media Products -- Houghton's College Division
