WHAT WE DO

Harambee II provides African American youth, ages 9-16, a juvenile delinquency prevention program during the hours after school when they are most susceptible to involvement in criminal activity.

The after school program operates Monday - Thursday, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm for children, ages 9 - 12. The Teen Center operates Monday-Thursday, 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm for young people, ages 13-16.

  • To reduce juvenile delinquency

  • To reduce school suspensions
  • To increase participants' coping skills in the areas of stress management, violence prevention, substance abuse prevention and HIV/AIDS prevention.

Harambee II is located in the Kimberly Courts Community in SW Atlanta, GA and works in special partnerships with the Kimberly Courts Tenant Association and volunteers. Harambee II is governed by a consortium of community organizations.
