Dear Subscribers, My initial work in the early 1980's with the Missing and Murdered Children Crisis in Atlanta led to the development of the Wholistic Stress Control Institute, Inc. (WSCI). I observed a shortage of creative prevention resources in the area of stress management for children. The Institute (WSCI) was founded in 1984 and it was incorporated in 1987. The philosophy of WSCI is to educate all people - young and old - in healthy lifestyle choices, in order to increase their longevity, productivity and potentiality. WSCI is an award winning non-profit community management through training, consultation and educational materials. The wholistic approach includes all factors that contribute to the harmonious development of the total person - mind, body and spirit. In addition to training and consultation services in the area of stress management, WSCI has developed a variety of educational resources and culturally specific materials for use with all ages and various professions. This catalog describes the educational materials and the costs. A complete description of WSCI programs is located on the back cover of this catalog. WSCI has developed a variety of model programs in the areas of prevention, intervention and treatment, in order to achieve its goal. WSCI has received several local and national exemplary awards in the areas of mental health, juvenile delinquency, substance abuse and violence prevention from the Governor's Children's Commission and the Center for Substance Abuse Prevention (CSAP). If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call or write. Thank you for your interest and support. For The Children Always, ![]() Jennie C. Trotter, M.Ed.
