Project DUNBAAR is a multi-service intervention program for African-American youth (ages 8-16) and their families who reside in the McDaniel-Glenn area.

OBJECTIVES

To reduce community crime and violence
To increase youth's self-concept and coping skills
To decrease youth's school suspension rates
To increase youth's academic achievement
To decrease youth's involvement with juvenile court
To provide parents with monthly workshops and/or family meetings
To increase youth's vocational development and entrepreneurial skills

The Wholistc Stress Control Institute, Inc. (WSCI), a non-profit community-based organization that provides a variety of community-based services. WSCI was founded by Jennie C. Trotter in 1984.

CONSORTIUM

A group of 20 community organizations is responsible for the coordination of services to enhance the development of youth.
