PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS
Systems
Support:
- Performed installation, configuration, performance tuning, and administration of MQSeries on OS/390.
- Planned and implemented migration from Bi-polar to CMOS technology. Exploited DB2 hiperpools and CICS Transaction Isolation.
- Setup Oracle Gateway to access DB2 data from Internet client.
- Setup host web server using Internet Connection Secure Server (ICSS).
Moreover, connected it to Net.Data to provide DB2 access.
- Designed and utilized client/server approach to capacity
planning using Perfman.
- New technology analysis. (CMOS, RAID, OS/390 2.7, etc.)
- Implemented Language Environment and supported Y2K techical issues.
- OS/390 2.4 Serverpac planning, installation, and implementation.
- DB2 systems and application support along with VTAM/NCP/TCPIP backup support.
- CICS systems and application programming support.
- OpenEdition MVS and TCP/IP implementation programming.
- Performed GRS and SYSPLEX planning and implementation to reduce hardware and software requirements.
- Developed enterprise JCL standards and wrote Assembler and REXX programs to enforce and report on them and plan for MVS SP5.
- Provided applications programming support to staff to improve
system functionality.
- Performed all the planning, designing, and programming
required to install MVS 4.3; Including HCD conversion.
- Performed all the planning and implementation procedures
required to install a 9021-860 processor.
- Performed all of the IOCP's and MVSCP's for new I/O
devices which included 3380's, 3390's, 4245's, 3990's,
and 3745's.
- Performed all the planning, designing, and programming
required to install MVS 3.1.3.
- Key member of team that installed and supported MVS
2.2.0.
- Responsible for tuning effort to improve transaction
rate and response time by restructuring the IPS, ICS,
and OPT members of parmlib.
- Developed plan that set the standard to establish SMS at
AGLC with POOL-DASD and ESA.
- Led team that implemented PR/SM on a new 3090-300E
thereby allowing us to install ESA and eliminate a
3083 which saved the company several thousand dollars.
- Peformed the installations, implementations, and
customizations of numerous IBM and OEM Program products.
Automated
Operations:
- Installed and implemented JOBTRAC to stop the manual
submission of jobs, open the batch window, and reduce
console traffic.
- Installed and implemented CA-1 to improve tape
utilization and protect tape data.
- Maintained and utilized ASM2 to automate and manage
many storage management functions.
- Wrote CLIST/REXX driven ISPF dialogs to improve client
efficiency and reduce errors.
Disaster
Recovery:
- Designed and successfully tested the system recovery
portion of the AGLC disaster recovery plan.
Data
Security:
- Performed software maintenance on ACF2 and coded system
exits for security group.
