Beanian
Manifesto
- My high school
classes are art classes, not computer classes.
- We use computers,
cameras, etc. because they are the tools of our trade. They are just tools,
and the more mastery of them you have, the more invisible they will become,
freeing you to create.
- The emphasis
in the class will be to learn more about how to use our brains and hearts
to come up with unique solutions to creative puzzles.
- The creative
process is made up of many stages, and the job of the teacher is to give you
the skills you need, to see what stage you are in, and push, encourage and
cajole you to get to the next one.
- Being in this
class is voluntary. Do not be here if your heart is not in it. If you stay,
be a warrior, not a whiner. Miss Bean tries to love all her students. Do not
make it too hard.
