Statussam's Lady Juneau

Juneau,

I did not know you, but your presence remains intact in this very home in which I now live. There are stories and pictures of you looking so grand and beautiful. Both, in the show ring and out. There are puppy pictures and those of you standing magnificently in the park. Your crate remains, as does your feeding bowl and collars. I, too, see the squirrels you once watched with intrigue, as they play their game of chase among the evergreens. I hear those children outside and have spied the oaken urn bearing your contents.

I have established a bond with Kodi, who you left just two and one half years ago; bound for the Rainbow Bridge after a short bout with cancer. There is not a day that passes, that you are not thought about and remembered. Life is far too complex for me to possibly comprehend "why". I do, however, understand what you meant and how much you were loved.

Juneau, I wish we could have met. Behind, you have left some mighty large paw prints to follow. I am but 12 weeks of age and hope to someday, make you proud.

We miss you,
