An Empire Fallen
More than a thousand years ago, before the great Xro Dinn awakening, the seeds of an empire
were being forged on a far away planet which has come to be known as Galatia. The intelligent inhabitents, the Galatians
were forging Empires on Galatia and beginning to take their Empires into space. Here they would find other specie to conquer
and control. These specie would further serve to strengthen and expand the empires over the next millenia. The Galatians
eventually unified themselves to control the people under their power. Soon it was only one power which dominated this region
of space.
But no empire, even the mighty Galatian Empire, lasts forever.   Having conquered 7 sentient races meant
they had a great deal to contend to. Many of the races were rebellious and eager to throw off the repressive governments that
the Galatians had but in place. On their side was luck.   Ancient artifacts left over from a race known as the Immushudi are
scattered all throughout the planets within the Empire. These artifacts helped the resistance to gain a foothold strong enough
to overthrow their repressive masters.
Today the Empire has been overthrown, but they maintain a HEAVY presence on all of the inhabited worlds.
In some cases they are not strong enough to overthrow the local Governments, but in other cases they still rule with an iron fist.
It is this ambiguity between control and no control that sets the stage for combat and strife for all the races that now live within
the Galatian Territory. May the races maintain their dreams of freedom.
Through all of this, the Xro Dinn have been desperately trying to maintain neutrality. The Galatians, who lack
psionics have been more than eager to take the highly psionic young Xro Dinn into their societies.   This has given the young Xro Dinn
a place of honor and distinction within their society that few others hold. It has also made them seem as though they were not a neutral
force in the rebel's fight for freedom despite the Xro Dinn which continue to live amongst the rebels. In many cases they are shunned and
the Xro Dinn are viewed as puppets of the Galatian Empire and Emporer Perensia III in particular. In many cases the Xro Dinn have responded by
limiting the number of Xro Dinn allowed into the Galatian society, but this has not been enough.
