Dialogue 1 Herald Are you of the Light? Of the Dark? Or do you Walk Between? Padre I worship all Gods. Are you the Herald that is spoken of? Herald The Two grow aware. They have been chosen. One shall rise, one shall fall. But all shall bear the Burden of the Two Padre Do you mean that Enid and Dauch must battle one another? Herald Newcomer, the Dark Herald, watches all that is planned. The Bishop, the Herald of the Light, speaks to his people, but they do not listen. They do not heed his words. The six are divided, two by two by two. For some, hope may still prevail. For Wen, none but travail. Padre How may we who serve all Gods help those who do not understand? Herald The people must be made to see. They must heed the words. Do they not see what has been ordained? Mark well the words of the God of the Sceptre. Gather in the temples. Pay homage to your Gods for only they may transform you. The Dark Herald and the Herald of the Light, they seek to know the will of my master. The Recorder. Mark well the words of the God of the Sceptre. The six are divided, two by two by two. Those that Walk Between will not permit one to dominate. In all things balance must be maintained. Lasa I think alliance is a better term, working together but separate. Padre agrees Herald The armies? They form? Where is the leader of the Army That Walks Between? Padre There is none. Is it an army you seek? Herald Have they not been chosen? Know them by their words, by their words judge them. By their words will thou know whom has strayed. DragnDave I wish not to follow Bishop if he betrays the God of Gods. Herald Does not Enid betray her master? Does not Dauch flaunt his strength? Only now has Despothes begun to stir. Do they truly believe he shall not act? Remember, no mortal may foretell the time of the change, but to survive, you must be transformed. Recorder... Lasa Yes m'lord? Herald He Who Walks Between requires balance. Padre Tell me Herald, as one who walks between, who should I ally with? Do you know this mortal's name? DragnDave Herald, I am of the Light, but I wish unity amongst all Gods. If Enid betrays my wish, then what shall I do? Herald No one shall be permitted to dominate. Unity is to be found in the middle, is this not clear to all? Lasa I have become recorder because I believe all must have access to the word. So that they may judge their actions according to their nature and heart. I am of the Light, yet also of balance. I have spoken out against the actions of the followers of Enid when their words were of hatred and I have befriended some of the dark path. To me, this is the only way I could see to know how the word is affecting people. I think this makes me a person of balance. If I find Enid's people become very sanctimonious and this is bad, then what am I? am I of balance or Light, never of Dark. Herald Padre Padre Yes Herald Herald Know the one who shall lead by deed already done. Padre I shall seek him out. Herald Enid will know. She will send a new prophet if her Herald has strayed from his path. DragnDave Aye Herald Can all that is good be known without that which is evil? Can evil survive if no good exists upon which it can feed? In all things, balance. Understand what is to come. Armies form, Those of Light, Those of Dark, and Those Who Walk Between. When Light casts out the darkness, Those That Walk Between shall ally with the dark. When Dark eclipses the Light, those that Walk Between shall stand in the Light. My master must have his army.
